The pre-stressed ceiling from xebex is a system ceiling of pre-stressed ceiling elements. If required, the elements can be produced with integrated insulation on the underside of the ceiling. The components are pre-stressed with pre-stressing steel during manufacture to meet the static requirements. In this way tensile forces which are created by later loading, the effects of temperature etc. are compensated for.
Pre-stressed concrete components can take higher bending loads than those with “soft steel reinforcement. Pre-stressed concrete construction components have considerably less reinforcing steel; they are slimmer but still resilient.
